The Texarkana Arkansas School District (TASD) is a U.S. school district serving Texarkana, Arkansas. It is district No. 7, and is part of Miller County, Arkansas. TASD7 established itself as a magnet school system in 2005 at the elementary and middle school levels and later expanded its magnet school program to include Arkansas Middle School and Arkansas High School in 2006.

The Texarkana Arkansas School District has been providing quality education for the city of Texarkana, Arkansas since 1884. Their committed staff of educators hold high student exceptions and provide a challenging curriculum to push them toward success. TASD believes community and family engagement in the educational process is one key to their classroom success.

The mission of TASD is to empower all students to realize their full potential, and to be a school district where educators inspire, leaders are developed and every goal is achieved.

Created with input from district administrators, staff and parents, the strategic plan is our roadmap to ensure TASD reaches these four very important goals:

  2. Hire and increase the retention of highly effective staff.

  3. Increase family engagement and understanding of district initiatives and resources.

  4. Ensure that our schools are trusted as a safe place for students, staff and community.
