Personal Care Items
Did you know? Shampoo, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, and other hygiene products are often classified as "luxury items." While these essentials may be easily accessible in many households, some of our students and their families struggle to obtain them. Additionally, these items cannot be purchased using EBT or SNAP food stamps, making them even more difficult for those in need to afford.
Many children and families in our community face these challenges in silence. However, you can help.
Bright Futures Texarkana, Arkansas, supports Care Closets on each of our campuses. Through this program, we can provide students with essential personal care items—often within 24 hours—ensuring their basic needs are met so they can focus on learning and thriving.
Clothing Donations
We primarily serve school-aged students, so children’s clothing in all sizes is our greatest need. We ask that all donated items be gently used and free of holes, stains, or excessive wear to ensure that students can wear them with confidence.
Proper hygiene and clean clothing play a significant role in a child’s well-being. Students who wear soiled or damaged clothing may face social stigma, which can negatively impact their self-esteem and overall sense of belonging. Additionally, poor hygiene can lead to misperceptions about a child's care and well-being.
By donating clean, well-maintained clothing, you help provide children with dignity, confidence, and the opportunity to thrive in their school environment.

Monetary Donations
Monetary donations are used to purchase items needed that are not donated or that we do not currently have available in our Care Closet. You do not have to donate a fortune, as little as $5 can make a lasting impact in the lives of our students. Consider making a donation, today.
